Strict products liability applies to all products sold to the public, including business and industrial machinery, consumer goods, chemicals, medical devices and equipment, weapons and explosives. West v. Johnson and Johnson Products Inc. (1985) 174 Cal App 3d. 831. Within the strict liability product analysis, there are three types of defects: (a) manufacturing defects, (b) design defects and (c) inadequate warning defects.
It is in the best interests of the consumer to contact an experienced product liability attorney immediately after they suspect that they have been injured due to a defective product.
